SNAP

DTA SNAP- Student Narrative Approaches through Photography

This project is for the new cohort of Future Societies researchers starting in September/ October 2023.

SNAP was originally initiated by Dr Kay Guccione (University of Glasgow), Dr Chris Blackmore (University of Sheffield, and Dr Isabelle Skakni (University of Applied Sciences and Arts Western Switzerland).

The aim is to connect researchers to each other and help broader networks to form. We want to create a space to connect new PGRs, but that doesn't require them to attend meetings, or to have to speak about their experiences with others. They can choose what and how is shared with the SNAP community and do it at a time that suits them.

This project will use 'photo-elicitation', the use of photographs to generate discussion. Participants will meet online after the end of the project to discuss their experience with their fellow PGRs and the DTA team.
