This project is for the new cohort of Future Societies researchers starting in September/October 2024.
SNAP was founded by Dr Kay Guccione (University of Glasgow), Dr Chris Blackmore (University of Sheffield, and Dr Isabelle Skakni (University of Applied Sciences and Arts Western Switzerland).
The aim of this project is to help new PGRs have a smooth transition to PhD by providing them an opportunity to learn about the research and experiences of their peers, get to know them, and feel part of a community. SNAP will allow new PGRs to connect, but that doesn't require them to attend meetings or have to speak about their experiences with others. They can choose what to share and how to share with the SNAP community, and do it at a time that suits them. This project will use 'photo elicitation', the use of photographs to generate discussion.
