Finding and Managing a Mentor

Workshop overview

By the end of this introductory session, you will be prepared to find and manage a mentor who supports your PhD and post-PhD career path.

A mentor is someone you can have good quality conversations with that focus on helping you to navigate your career path. Having the time to talk things through with someone who was once in a similar position to you now is an excellent way to support you to make the decisions that are best for you.

There are a lot of resources out there to help you to choose, recruit and work with a mentor. This short session will provide an overview of these resources, summarising top tips for DTA researchers who would like to find a mentor.
